Has anyone ever cooked with white zinfandel wine?

If so, what did you cook with it and is it even a good wine to cook with?

i would probably not recommend white zin – usually red wines are better to cook with – here’s an example….

if you’re making steak – cut up some mushrooms and onions and throw them in a pan with a couple tablespoons of butter and a splash of red wine (red rose, Merlot, or pino noir would be fine) saute them in the pan over med to high heat until the onions become translucent. top the steak with the mushrooms and onions icon smile Has anyone ever cooked with white zinfandel wine? good luck!

In my opinion it is far too sweet to cook with. It also has very little acidity.

Maybe if you reduced it with a little sugar and fruit, you could make a dessert sauce, but that may be a stretch.
