can muslims use wine in their food as long as they don't get intoxicated?
The whole point of wine and liquor being banned is that u get intoxicated. But if u can cook it in the food then doesn’t that eliminate the toxication?
Not positive, but I don’t think they can. My Muslim friend cooks completely without it.

Nope. Its still forbidden, even if you try to neutralize the taste or attempt to prevent intoxication.
According to Islam, what’s haram is haram, and there is no ifs, ands, or buts.

if you used that much wine it would be a soup

We have one hadith [that I can't sorrowfully remember the exact scripture for it] that forbid small sips of anything that causes intoxication in large amounts i.e. drugs , wines , … etc .
We can only use this stuff [drugs and alcohol] for medical and useful stuff .
Peace

Yeah, the prohibition against alcohol is because it intoxicates you.
Technically speaking (if you wanna get really fundie about it) that means ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL. If you follow the letter of the law, that means you can’t use rubbing alcohol, no wine in your food, its not even supposed to be in your household cleaning products because it’s haram (unlawful).
However…my personal belief is that as long as you don’t get intoxicated, there shouldn’t be anything wrong with alcohol. Come to that, I don’t think there is anything inherently wrong with being a bit tipsy (as long as you don’t go do crazy stuff) but I’m not your typical Muslim. If good priests and rabbis can have a beer with their friends, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.
Personally, I like sobriety. But we shouldn’t go around pointing fingers if somebody disagrees.

Not even a little "sip".
I give you an example. Can you "steal" a very small part of jewelery ? No.
why? because stealing is stealing.
There’s a hadith that says : ما أسكر كثيره , فقليله حرام
translate
>> If a substance that intoxicate with large doses, The small dose of it is haram <<
Very clearly said by the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
Interesting Q by the way.

Yes, cooking doesn’t prevent intoxication by affecting the alcohol it completely evaporates the alcohol until none remains. When wine is used in cooking the alcohol quickly evaporates and only the grape juice is left. Since wine however, is difficult to find in Muslim countries, the culture doesn’t traditionally cook with wine. Muslims living in countries where wine is legal often don’t use it anyway because they either are afraid that some alcohol is left or because of culinary traditions that don’t involve wine and other liqorous drinks in cooking.

No, they can’t use it.
There’s a hadith ( a saying by Prophet Mohammed):
" Ma Askar-a katheer-uhu, fa qaleel-uhu Haram"
Which roughly translates to:
" What gets you intoxicated if consumed in large doses, is forbidden even if consumed in small doses"
Besides that, Muslim scholars tend to favor avoiding things which are questionable. So unless you can analyze your food for traces of alcohol and be sure that 0% of alcohol remains, Muslims would be advised to avoid it.

Learned this in school
Not a Muslim, and have not researched this question as far as looking up my knowledge of the Muslim religion, but, in short, if you are saying that the point of wine and liquor being banned is because of intoxication, then, when cooking with wine or liquor the actual alcohol evaporates out and all that is left is the flavor. You would not get intoxicated from eating a dish that has been cooked with small, not large amounts of alcohol in the dish. Would have to be heated to appropriate temperature for evaporation.
Respectfully submitted,
Sunsets
