If you aren’t going to drink it for a few weeks I guess maybe putting it in the fridge is smart, but when I buy a bottle of wine, it gets drank that day or the next, so any oxidization when it’s on the counter with the cork in it is minimal, and what little occurs probably helps the taste, you’re supposed to let wine breathe a little.

No. Leave it in the fridge when your not drinking it becuase the fridge slows down the oxidizing of the wine.
Of course, when you want to drink it, let it return to room temperature.
