white zinfandel is …
white zinfandel is pink because of the limited skin contact it has during fermentation (a red wines colour comes from the pigmentation in the skin which also give red wines “tannin”) Therefore, if a winery removes the skins from the grape early the result is a much lighter wine (pink)…White Zins from Cali are always fermented to dryness and sugar is added after fermentation. It is absurd to try to “Stop” a fermentation to leave residual sugar…Thats not why a white zin’s sweet…
