Thanks and Happy New Year to all.

Best Red Wine to serve. Buy the Petit Syrah by Bogle. It’s cheap, it’s very good, it’s easy to drink and the bottle makes it look very expensive.

Also, try a Beaujolais which are the first grapes chosen from this years harvest and bottled quickly. They have parties dedicated to this wine in November. The bottle will have very fun labels and they are extremely cheap. Only buy Beaujolais from THIS year.

Champagne – Freixenet. Spanish sparkling wine, comes in a black bottle, cheap and just as good as a $40 bottle.

Do you want to go for quality or quantity?

The best cheap red right now is Cono Soir Pinot Noir. Its a full-bodied Chilean pinot noir. It actually goes down more like a merlot. At $8 or less it CANNOT be beaten.

If quality is your concern, what price range are you looking at? I plan on having my annual Far Niente Cab :)

The best? Depends on price and who will be drinking the wine. To be safe, you can always find great American wineries who make good cabernets or merlots. There are also great pinot noirs and syrahs out there. Just depends on your guests’ preferences. The lighter the red, probably would fit more peoples tastes.

Beaujolais is a great suggestion for all, just be sure it is a beaujolais nouveau.
