Beer has been around for many centuries. Actually, recorded history of it reaches as far back as 3000 B.C. I ponder how beer was kept cool way back then.

Before the Industrial Revolution, beer was produced at home, for the most people. Even though by the seventh century A.D., beer was also being produced and sold by monasteries in Europe. Then, the industrial production of beer began after the Industrial Revolution. And by the end of the 19th century most beer was produced and manufactured by industry and not at home.
